Chairman Asada holds British Market Council 18th Japan-U.K. Business Partnership Seminar and reception party

On October 18, Marubeni Chairman, Mr. Asada, who also currently serves as chairman of the British Market Council, held the 18th Japan-U.K. Business Partnership Seminar and reception party at the Agnes Hotel in Tokyo.
Approximately 100 guests participated in the seminar which commenced with welcome speeches from Mr. Asada, Mr. Chris Heffer, Director of Trade and Investment, British Embassy Tokyo. A number of other speeches were given on the powerful theme of “Innovation is GREAT –Building the future with the U.K.”; these included: “UK's Innovation Ecosystem, where does it go after Brexit?” (Mr. Inomoto, Senior Adviser, Marubeni Research Institute), “Introduction of Off-Shore Wind Power Projects in the UK” (Mr. Harada, General Manager, Overseas Power Project Dept. V), “Economic Overview – Strong British Economy Overcoming Brexit” (Mr. Joe Egerton, Head of Economics and Trade Policy, British Embassy Tokyo), and “Aero-Defense Industry in Japan Collaborating with the UK” (Mr. Yamashita, President & CEO of Marubeni Aerospace Corporation).
At the reception party, Mr. Asada, together with Mr. Higuchi, President, Manufactured Imports and Investment Promotion Organization, gave welcome speeches, and all of the attendees, comprising approximately 80 people, deepened their friendship in the pleasant party atmosphere.
