Mr Suzuki has been appointed as the new Chairman.

Mr Teruo Asada, Honourary Corporate Advisor of Marubeni Corporation and leader of the British Market Council for the past six years, has completed his term, and Mr Yoshihisa Suzuki, Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of ITOCHU Corporation, has been appointed as the new Chairman.
This year's Board of Directors meeting and General Meeting votes were held in writing, as was the case last year due to the declaration of a state of emergency in Tokyo, but all resolutions, including the change of Chairman, were passed without incident.
We also held a Zoom meeting to report on the resolutions and to deliver the greetings of the new and retiring presidents directly to the members. In addition to these greetings, we welcomed remarks from the British Ambassador to Japan, Her Excellency Ms Julia Longbottom, who took time out of her busy schedule to attend the meeting, and from Minister-Counsellor Mr Chris Heffer, who will be leaving this summer.
