Chairman Suzuki holds New Year's Online Lecture

The New Year's Party had to be cancelled due to the Covid 19, but a lecture was held online on 4 February 2022, attended by 90 members and interested parties.
The theme was "Building Back Better from Pandemic and the Global Risks of 2022". Following opening remarks by President Suzuki, H.E. Julia Longbottom, British Ambassador to Japan, gave the guest of honour address.
This was followed by a lecture on "Building Back Better from Pandemic" by Mr Darren Goff, Minister-Counsellor, British Embassy, Tokyo, followed by a question-and-answer session. Next, Mr. Takeda, Chief Economist of ITOCHU Research Institute, gave a lecture entitled "Global Risks in 2022", followed by a question-and-answer session.
Mr Darren Goff, Minister-Counsellor, said that the role of the British Market Council has never been more important and that he is keen to discuss ways of working with its members.
