Chairman Suzuki of the British Market Council (BMC) holds Environmental Seminar in BARAKURA English Garden at Tateshina highlands

On 19 May 2023, the first event of the BMC this fiscal year, an environmental seminar and reception was held at the Tateshina BARAKURA English Garden. Around 20 people attended, with a garden tour and lunch reception followed by an environmental seminar. A lecture entitled 'English Gardens Save the Planet Part 2: The Latest Information on British Gardening "Garden Science"' was given by Mr Yamada Eugene, Representative of Tateshina BARAKURA English Garden, followed by a video seminar entitled 'Oxford University Botanic Garden Arboretum's Challenge to Protect Japan's Abundant Plant Resources' by Mr Ben Jones, Head of the Oxford University Botanic Garden Arboretum.
The Nagano Nippo newspaper and Nagano Asahi Broadcasting Co. came to cover the seminar, and the seminar was featured in the morning edition of 20 May and on ABN local news.
