Chairman Suzuki of the British Market Council Hosts Meeting of the Board of Directors, Ordinary General Meeting and Reception

On 14 June, Chairman Suzuki of the British Market Council ('BMC') hosted the 60th meeting of the Board of Directors and the concurrent 51st Ordinary General Meeting as well as a reception at the British Embassy in Tokyo.
The meeting of Board of Directors and Ordinary General Meeting were attended by Mr Darren Goff, Minister Counsellor (Director of Business and Trade) at the British Embassy in Tokyo, Ms Amano, Director for Investment Collaboration, Investment Facilitation Division, Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, METI, and others, and all agenda items were approved.
The reception was opened by Mr Darren Goff, Minister-Counsellor at the British Embassy in Tokyo, followed by a speech by Mr Suzuki, Chairman of the BMC, and a toast by Mr Higuchi, President of the Manufactured Imports and Investment Promotion Organization.
There was also a performance by the British Embassy Taiko Drumming Club 'Don BRI', and Secretary of State for Transport The Rt Hon Mark Harper MP, who was in Japan for the G7 Transport Ministers' Meeting, joined them for a short time. The event deepened the friendship between Japan and the UK in a relaxed atmosphere.
