Acting Chairman of the British Market Council (BMC) Imai has hosted a Christmas party.
Date:2024/12/11(Wed)
The British Market Council (BMC) Christmas Party was held for the first time in two years on Wednesday, December 11, at the Akihabara branch of our member, HUB CO., LTD. About 70 members and related parties gathered for the party in the midst of the busy season.
Opening remarks were made by Acting Chairman Imai, this was followed by a speech by Mr Christopher Hunt, Minister Counsellor at the British Embassy in Tokyo. Mr Ota, President of HUB CO., LTD., who kindly provided the venue for the party, then made a speech and offered a toast.
The party was the last BMC event of the year, and Acting Chairman Imai gave an overview of the activities of the BMC this year, and thanked all members and related parties for their cooperation and support.
Christopher Hunt, Minister-Counsellor, mentioned the party has been held at the British pub where he feels at home, and spoke about the BMC's support projects for the Embassy, the Nuclear Industry Forum and the Export to Japan podcast project.
President Ota gave a toast in English, like in a British pub. Members and related parties chanted in unison, creating a very lively atmosphere.
At around 6.45pm the Christmas Gift Raffle was held, with many members donating gifts and everyone winning at least one of the gifts, and all attendees also received a souvenir.
We would like to thank Akutagawa Confectionery Co., Ltd., BARAKURA English Garden, British Hills Co., Ltd., Dorchester Collection, Fiskars Japan Co., Ltd., International SOS Japan Ltd, KATAOKA & CO., LTD. (Twining Japan Co., Ltd.), SANKYO SEIKO., LTD., and Tokyo Century Corporation, who have provided gifts and souvenirs.
The event was a great success, with members and related parties strengthening their friendships. We would like to thank HUB CO., LTD. once again for providing the venue and for their cooperation.
