Mr. Kakiuchi has been appointed as the new Chairman.

Mr. Masahiro Imai, Ambassador Senior Vice Representative for External Affairs of ITOCHU Corporation, who has led the British Market Council for the last fourth year, has resigned and Mr. Takehiko Kakiuchi, Chairman of the Board of Mitsubishi Corporation, has been appointed as the new Chairman of British Market Council.
This year's Board of Directors meeting and General Meeting voting were held on 2 June, and all resolutions, including the change of Chairman, were passed without any incident.
We also held a meeting to report on the resolutions and to deliver the greetings of the new and old presidents directly to the members. In addition to the greetings of the new and old Chairmans, we also had greetings from the Trade Counsellor, Marie-Claire Joyce, who took time out of her busy schedule to attend the meeting.
